14th November 2009 - Tasmanian Beer Fest

Expose your taste buds to a range of beers from local Tasmanian breweries, across Australia and world wide. Located on Hobart's waterfront.

26th Dec 2009 - 1st January 2010 - Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race

Regarded as one of the world's greatest and most gruelling ocean racing classics, the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race begins in Sydney Harbour on Boxing Day and finishes in the Derwent River off Battery Point in Hobart. It is a 630 nautical mile race southwards in the Tasman Sea to Tasman Island, across Storm Bay to the finish. The leaders in the race arrive in Hobart in time for New Year's Eve festivities.

28th Dec 2009 - 3rd January 2010 - Taste of Tasmania

The Taste is a food and beverage event showcasing Tasmania's much celebrated food and wine. One of Australia's most popular and successful food and wine events held at Hobart's historic waterfront.
