Queensland

Queensland, affectionately known as the Sunshine State, covers an area more than seven times the size of the UK, offers something for everyone, and is a great destination for couples and families alike. Key areas are Brisbane, the gateway to Southern Queensland and the popular holiday resorts of the Gold & Sunshine Coasts; the beautiful unspoilt islands of the Whitsundays; and Cairns, gateway to Tropical North Queensland, a region of beautiful coastlines, waterfalls and rainforest-clad mountains. The real attraction, of course, has to be the Great Barrier Reef, stretching for more than 2000km. This truly is a natural wonder of the world, and no visit to Australia would be complete without seeing this underwater paradise.
