Gawler Ranges Safaris offer small group tours of wildlife experiences with many points of difference.

Run by a passionate group of Aussies, who have lived in Outback Australia all their lives, you are sure to return home with a distinct feel for Australia and it's abundant natural treasures.

Your all inclusive tour will begin with a short flight from Adelaide to Port Lincoln. You will then travel by road to the private, luxurious, ecologically designed outback camp - Kangaluna Camp - on the boundary of the awe inspiring Gawler Ranges National Park.

For three days in this safe, comfortable and uncrowded enviroment, you can absorb the unpoluted sounds of nature, marvel at the intoxicating colours of the ever changing landscapes and soak up the brightness of the stars while standing around the camp fire.

Your tour will take in Lake Gairdner - a spectacular salt lake, as white as snow, but flanked by red hills and dunes, a large sheep station, mobs of wild kangaroos bounding free, and an opportunity for face painting - with achre rock!

Wildlife

You will see a number of the 146 species of birds recorded here and one or all three of the large kangaroo species known in the area, wombats and even an emu or two. The sheer quantity of wildlife will blow you away!

Walk in the Corribbinnie depression and wonder how nature could produce so many collours so close together in one place. Marvel at the rock formations of the old volcanics exposed in the boundary gorge, while your guide tells you stories of how this land was built.

Your local guides will interpret this unique enviroment with their knowledge, passion and experience - you will feel you are a part of it.

Escape

In the evening you can escape to your large two bedroom ensuite luxury tent, or join us for a sunset drink on the shore of nearby Sturt Lake before a good Aussie outback dinner at Kangaluna Camp.

On our final day we will travel to Baird Bay for a breathtaking experience - swimming with Australian Sea Lions and dolphins - in a proteced bay. This experience will stay with you for years to come.
