Espace KillyTignesTignes is a convenient, purpose built ski resort, situated high above the tree line at 2100m. There are three areas which are connected by a free shuttle bus, Val Claret, Le Lac and Le Lavachet. Tignes Val Claret is ideally situated at the base of the main La Grande Motte ski lifts and the high speed funicular and has a lively shopping centre and night life. Nearby are Tignes Les Boisses and Tignes Les Brevieres that offer a slightly slower pace of life. Val D'IsereVal d'Isere is one of the most highly regarded ski resorts with the town centre of Val Village, the more modern La Daille and the hamlet of Le Fornet. The resort is looking forward to hosting the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship from 3rd February - 15th February 2009.
